MORE DYNAMIC AND REFINED NEW LEXUS ES NOW AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA

Australian pricing for the new Lexus ES has been confirmed, with the latest seventh-generation luxury medium sedan combining a broader powertrain line-up with a more attainable entry point and new technology as standard.

For the first time with the seventh-generation ES, Lexus is offering two powertrain options with three highly specified grade choices available for less than $65,0001.

Priced from $61,6201, the new ES 250 Luxury debuts 'ES firsts' such as Intersection Assist with Turn Assist, Emergency Steering Assist and Lexus Connected Services2 - with SOS call3, automatic collision notification4 and stolen vehicle tracking5.

These technologies are standard along with automatic high-beam, dynamic radar active cruise control, road sign assist, lane tracing assist, pre-collision safety system with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert and parking support brake including an intelligent clearance sonar.

Also standard on the ES 250 Luxury are keyless smart entry, a moonroof, self-dimming interior mirror, heated front seats, 10-way power adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control with Nanoe X™6, and a new 12.3-inch touch-display screen - with twin-front and twin-rear USB-C ports, DAB+ digital radio, satellite navigation with voice control, 10-speaker audio and Apple CarPlay®7 and Android Auto™8 compatibility.

Priced from $63,1201, the ES 250 Luxury with Enhancement Pack features wireless smartphone charging9, rear- and rear-side privacy glass, and an expansive colour head-up display measuring 260mm x 97.5mm.

The ES 300h Luxury, priced from $63,5501, adds a rear spoiler and power adjustable steering column.

Lexus is complementing this trio of highly specified ES grades with expanded choice for customers spending beyond $70,0001 on the latest Lexus luxury medium sedan.

The ES 300h Luxury with Enhancement Pack, priced from $71,8101, for the first time adopts a power back door with kick sensor, along with inch-larger 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic view monitor, 14-way power adjustable driver's seat with memory settings, ventilated front seats, side blinds and a power rear sunshade as standard.

Customers can personalise their Takumi craftsmanship highlights available with the ES 300h Luxury with Enhancement Pack, choosing from black, rich cream, hazel or mauve trim upholstery, and either Sumi black or walnut brown ornamentation10.

For a similar recommended retail price, customers can alternatively select from three grades of the ES that focus on providing additional agility and overall sportiness.

Priced from $70,8601 for the ES 250 F Sport and $72,9301 for the ES 300h F Sport, these grades retain the features of the ES 300h Luxury with Enhancement Pack with the exception of side blinds.

The ES 250 F Sport and ES 300h F Sport gain tri-beam LED headlamps with a BladeScan™6 adaptive high-beam system, wire-mesh Lexus spindle grille, sports bodykit with larger 19-inch alloy wheels, performance dampers (bracing) front and rear, 8.0-inch driver display, Hadori aluminium ornamentation, and unique F Sport Seats with a choice of F Sport White, F Sport Black or Flare Red trim upholstery10.

The ES 250 F Sport utilises standard sports suspension, while the ES 300h F Sport includes retuned adaptive variable suspension (AVS) with two driver-selectable shock absorber settings: Eco/Normal/Sport S, or Sport S+.

The ES 300h F Sport with Enhancement Pack, priced from $76,5301, further adds a 17-speaker Mark Levinson™7 audio system and heated steering wheel as standard.

The ES 300h Sports Luxury, priced from $78,1801, includes semi-aniline leather-accented trim upholstery, power adjustable reclining and heated rear outboard seats, side door blinds and a power rear sunshade - a level of unparalleled opulence not available in rivals costing under $80,0001.

The reclining rear seats also feature a centre armrest housing the rear control panel, allowing rear occupants to adjust the rear sunblind, seat heating and angle, audio system and the Sports Luxury-exclusive tri-zone climate control with NanoeX™6.

The ES 300h Sports Luxury is available with the trim upholstery and ornamentation options available on the ES 300h Luxury with Enhancement Pack, while exclusively adding black trim upholstery with Bamboo ornamentation10 as a further personalisation option.

Superb rear-seat comfort is a unique virtue of the new ES, reflecting the body length and wheelbase of the Lexus luxury medium sedan that provides generous cabin space comparable to a full-sized luxury sedan.

This unwavering focus on generous space combines with imaginative technology, renowned Takumi craftsmanship and opulent cabin luxury to distance the ES from other luxury medium sedans - resulting in three years of consistent sales growth.

This sales growth also led Lexus to offer the new ES 250 with an advanced 152kW 2.5-litre port- and direct-injected four-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic, a 60kg-lighter and agile alternative for customers seeking a sportier luxury sedan feel.

Lexus expects approximately 85 per cent of ES customers will choose the renowned and refined hybrid-electric ES 300h with its 160kW 2.5-litre engine and electric motor - a testament to Lexus leadership in electrification and its focus on meaningful reduction in CO2 emissions through appealing to a greater number of customers.

In 2019 the Lexus ES increased its sales performance by 183.3 per cent compared with the year prior.

In 2020, despite a challenging period, the ES increased its sales by 4.5 per cent compared with the year prior.

To August 2021, the Lexus luxury medium sedan has increased sales by 20.3 per cent compared with the first eight months of 2020.
